To make Cupcake Camp Adelaide happen, we need you! Can you bake cupcakes? We need enthusiastic people like you to bake cupcakes for Cupcake Camp. You only need to bake a dozen, or you can bake as many as you like!

Hello cupcake lovers!

Today is one month to go until Cupcake Camp Adelaide and there have been some very exciting developments!

I am pleased to officially announce that Camp Quality is our charity for November 22! Every cupcake sold will help to bring hope and happiness to the lives of children with cancer and their families and communities.

The venue has also been confirmed, thanks to the help of the Adelaide City Council. Cupcake Camp Adelaide is being held at the Box Factory Community Centre, which is on 59 Regent St S, just off Halifax Street in the city.

There is no time limit on parking on Halifax Street during the event as it is a Sunday. It is close to the tram line and buses so hopefully we’ll see everyone there!

Here’s an example of some of the things to come on the day:
- Icing workshops for children
- Cooking demonstrations
- Cupcake competitions! If you’re baking, why not enter?

Thanks to the very kind help of the Adelaide City Council who pointed us in the direction of many places to hold Cupcake Camp. They suggested the Box Factory Community Centre. The centre has only been open since May 2009 and is a wonderfully furnished building off of Halifax Street in the city.

The centre provides us with everything we need for Cupcake Camp – we are hiring out the top floor which has toilets, wheelchair access, a kitchen and a big open area – perfect for the event!

We have decided to drop the gold coin donation to enter and want you to spend that money eating cupcakes instead. Also, we are putting on a cooking demonstration as well sometime during the day for those keen to see some made right at the event.

Also a big thanks to the team at radelaide.net who are running an ad that points to the Cupcake Camp website until the event, thankyou very much guys!

Calling all cupcake fans: To make Cupcake Camp happen we need your help!

• Our bakers could use some sponsorship with some cooking and decorating supplies! This will allow us to bake and ice the cupcakes, and also to run the icing and decorating workshops on the day for the kids (and the big kids of course).
• We would love to give out some prizes to keep the day exciting! There of course has to be a prize for the best decorated cupcake and their runner up, as well as a prize for the best effort from the workshop. And we can’t forget a raffle because everyone loves those!
• Finally, any businesses who match the direction and objectives of Cupcake Camp and its charity are welcome to come along if they would like to participate in the day – by handing out stickers, or little goodies for attendees, or just to help out and enjoy like the rest of us.

Hello cupcakers!

First of all, thanks for your support! We’ve had over 70 people join the Facebook group and show their love for cupcake deliciousness. You guys are the best!

We have found a charity to support and the details will be announced next week. Very exciting! We’ve also had a great show of people put up their hands to become bakers – you are the people who will make cupcake camp, so get planning and practicing!
